Fridays free Practice 1 and 2 saw the #7 Toyota of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez top the timings just a second ahead of the #8 sister car of Sebastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Fernando Alonso, but in todays Free Practice 3 the #8 car was quicker with the #7 car finishing behind the #11 and #17 SMP Racing duo, 3 seconds behind the sister TS050. Bruno Senna had an accident in Free Practice 1 in the #1 Rebellion Racing Gibson, and will be missing the rest of the weekend due to a fractured foot, although the car is back out on track today.
The #28 TDS Racing of Francois Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxiviere and Loic Duval was fastest LMP2 in Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 3, with the
#38 Jackie Chan DC Racing of Ho-Pin Tung, Gabriel Aubry and Stephane Richelmi fastest LMP2 in Free Practice 2.
LMGTE Pro was owned by Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK with the #66 of Stefan Mucke and Oliver Pla heading Free Practice 1 and #67 of Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell fastest in Free Practice 2 and 3.
In LMGTE Am Dempsey Proton Racing in the #88 Porsche 911 of Gianluca Roda, Giorgio Road and Matteo Cairoli were fastest in both Friday sessions fresh from their class win at Le Mans In June.
In Free Practice 3 the #98 Aston Martin Vantage of Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda led the class.
