West Coast Racing’s Daniel Lloyd took pole position for tomorrow’s debut TCR UK Silverstone race in tricky conditions and with some fierce racing to contend with.
Aiden Moffatt didn’t disappoint, putting in the performance that fans had been hoping for, crossing just fractions of a second behind Lloyd in the VW Golf GTi, but it was Lloyd who fought back in the final stages of qualifying not giving way to the BTCC Laser Tools Racing star.
Howard Fuller and Lewis Kent also found themselves at the mercy of Lloyd, even though Kent looked like he had the session in the bag.
Stewart Lines heads up pole in the second race tomorrow due to a reverse grid formed from drivers second fastest qualifying lap times. The only driver of the 13 who was unable to make the qualifying session was Derek Palmer when problems with his Alfa Romeo meant it was in the garage and putting him on P13 for tomorrow’s first race.
Race one takes place tomorrow at 2.00.
