Carlin’s Enaam Ahmed, future star wins 2017 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship

Taking his 12th win of the year in the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship at Snetterton, the 17 year old secured the Championship title ahead of the series’ final round at the end of the month. His 12 wins matching another BRDC F3 Champion, Ayrton Senna’s. Ahmed however is not content with that aiming to win the final three races in the series and match the record of Jan Magnussen.

Ahmed has had a dominant first full season with Carlin Motorsport securing 16 podium places out of 21 races thus far. Carlin has a reputation for being the team to nurture future stars, and with the likes of Daniel Ricciardo, Kevin Magnusson, Danil Kyvat, Sebastien Buemi, Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel being previous Carlin drivers that reputation is well deserved. 21316299_10154884729492543_4143200706335289740_o The team have worked hard in testing with the youngster to help him overcome the issues he faced last season where he finished 5th overall in his debut season. Building on from his success with Carlin in the  BRDC British Formula 3  Autumn Trophy, they have obviously struck upon a winning formula with Ahmed as his incredible season reflects. With his sights set on European F3 in the future,  a very bright career surely lies ahead for Enaam Ahmed.

The final round of the season is at Donington on September 23rd/24th.
