Sèbastien Ogier took his 4th consecutive title on Sunday winning the Manufacturers Championship for Volkswagen, the first manufacturer ever to do so. Ogier has been with the team since 2012 where he and co driver Julien Ingrassia have had huge success, with eight wins in this season alone.
There were worries earlier in the weekend that the teams Polo R was suffering transmission problems but the issues were resolved swiftly ahead of Saturday’s stages.
Ott Tänak took second place with Thierry Neuville completing the podium in third.
Great Britain’s Kriss Meeke came in fifth in his final outing of the 2016 season, Meeke will now be concentrating on further tests of the Citroen C3 WRC ahead of next seasons opener in Monte Carlo in January.
